To review and investigate programming station activities and events, use a custom report in the Security Desk Medeco XT station activities investigation task.

What you should know

  • You must have the View Medeco XT custom reports privilege.
  • These events can also be monitored using the Security Desk Monitoring task. For more information, see Monitoring events.

Procedure

  1. From the Security Desk homepage, open the Medeco XT station activities task.
  2. Select one or more of the following query filters for your report:
    Entities
Select which entities to investigate. For example, programming stations, cardholders, or areas.
    Events
    Select from four custom events:
    • Key inserted: Raised when a key is inserted into a USB key programmer.
    • Key cleared: Raised when a key with no owner is encoded. This deletes all access rules on the key.
    • Key encoded: Raised when a key assigned to a cardholder or visitor is encoded. The corresponding keyholder's access rules are written to the key.
    • Key scheduling failed: Raised when the key encoding did not complete.

Specify a value for seconds, minutes, hours, days, months, or years.
    Specific range
Specify the start and end time periods.
  3. Click Generate report.
The events are listed in the report pane. The following report pane columns are available for this report:
    Cardholder
The cardholder involved in the event.

Export or print the report.
