You can generate reports to see the encoding timestamps on encoded keys, or filter out keys that have not been encoded within a specific time frame.

What you should know

  • You must have the View Medeco XT custom reports privilege.
  • An unfiltered report lists the last encoding date of each key.
  • If you want to filter out the most recently encoded keys, use the Keys not encoded within filter.

Procedure

  1. From the Security Desk home page, open the Medeco XT encoding report task.
  2. Select one or more of the following query filters for your report:
    Entities
Select which cardholders and credentials you want to investigate.
You can select entities individually, or select entity types using the list at the top of the entity browser. Selecting an entity type filters for all instances of that type. For example, selecting Credential shows all credentials, including keys. To select all filtered entities, click Check all.

The Medeco XT encoding report entities browser showing the entity type drop-down menu.
Selecting cardholders filters for the keys associated with those cardholders.

    Keys not encoded within
Define the time range for the query in days.
For example, if you want to discover which keys have not been encoded within the past week, select all keys in the entity browser, set the Keys not encoded within filter to seven days, and then generate a report.

  3. Click Generate report.
The events are listed in the report pane. The following report pane columns are available for this report:
    Cardholder
The cardholder involved in the event.
    Credential
The credential involved in the event.
    Encoded on
The date and time when the key was encoded.

After you finish

Export or print the report.
