If cardholders or cardholder groups always require access to a specific floor, you can bypass existing access rules by assigning a default floor.

What you should know

  • If you have multiple Otis systems, you can apply different default floors for each system.

Procedure

  1. From the Config Tool home page, open the Plugins task.
  2. Select the Otis Compass plugin from the entity browser and click on the Properties tab.
  3. In the Access control section, enable the Always authorize default floors option and click Apply.
  4. From the Config Tool home page, open the Access Control task.
  5. Click the Cardholders and credentials view, select a cardholder or cardholder group, and then click the Otis Compass tab.
  6. (Optional) For an individual cardholder, disable the Inherit from group option.
  7. In the Default floor section, select the default floor and door side.
    NOTE: If the CompassPlus™ system uses ICD version 1, rear door sides are not supported.
