To deploy Pay-by-Plate Sync, you must install the Pay-by-Plate Sync plugin, create Security Center permits, and configure Pay-by-Plate Sync in Security Center and Genetec Patroller™.
Before you begin
- Read the Pay-by-Plate Sync Release Notes.
- If you have an earlier version of Pay-by-Plate Sync installed then follow the procedure for Upgrading Pay-by-Plate Sync from a previous version instead.
Complete the pre-installation
This lists the things to do before installing the Pay-by-Plate Sync plugin, such as installing Security Center and Genetec Patroller™.
- Install the Pay-by-Plate Sync plugin on Security Center computers.

Create the plugin in Security
After the Pay-by-Plate Sync plugin is installed, you need to create the plugin role entity in Security Center.
Sync in Security
This includes associating the parking provider’s permit zones to the Security Center permit entities you created.
Configure periodic transfer
This determines how often Genetec Patroller™ downloads permit data updates from Security Center.
Sync in Genetec
This includes entering the IP address and port number required to communicate with Security Center and the parking provider.
