Pay-by-Plate Sync

To deploy Pay-by-Plate Sync, you must install the Pay-by-Plate Sync plugin, create Security Center permits, and configure Pay-by-Plate Sync in Security Center and Genetec Patroller™.

Before you begin


  1. Complete the pre-installation checklist.
    This lists the things to do before installing the Pay-by-Plate Sync plugin, such as installing Security Center and Genetec Patroller™.
  2. Install the Pay-by-Plate Sync plugin on Security Center computers.
  3. Complete the pre-configuration checklist.
    This includes configuring Security Center and Genetec Patroller™ for a mobile deployment, and ensuring you have the required IP addresses, port numbers, usernames, and passwords.
  4. Create Security Center permits.
    This guides you through creating permit entities that will store the parking providers’ permit zone data.
  5. Create the plugin in Security Center.
    After the Pay-by-Plate Sync plugin is installed, you need to create the plugin role entity in Security Center.
  6. Configure Pay-by-Plate Sync in Security Center.
    This includes associating the parking provider’s permit zones to the Security Center permit entities you created.
  7. Configure periodic transfer in Genetec Patroller™.
    This determines how often Genetec Patroller™ downloads permit data updates from Security Center.
  8. Configure Pay-by-Plate Sync in Genetec Patroller™.
    This includes entering the IP address and port number required to communicate with Security Center and the parking provider.
  9. Customize Pay-by-Plate Sync for your specific parking vendor.
    A reference section is provided with specific configuration settings for each parking vendor.
  10. (Optional) Customize Pay-by-Plate Sync.
