You must configure the required settings so that Patroller can communicate with Security Center and the third-party parking provider.

Procedure

  1. On the Patroller in-vehicle computer, go to C:\Program Files\Genetec AutoVu X.Y\MobileClient, and then run PatrollerConfigTool.exe.
    Patroller Config Tool opens.
  2. From the Operation page, select Pay-by-Plate.
  3. Configure the Security Center URL.
  4. Configure the Security Center communication port.
  5. (Optional) Enter up to three failover IP addresses for the plugin:

    These addresses must match the failover servers addresses entered in Security Center Config Tool.

  6. Configure the remaining settings as needed to customize the Pay-by-Plate Sync plugin.
  7. Click Apply.

Results

Patroller can now communicate with Security Center and the third-party parking provider.

After you finish

  • Enable permits in Patroller. Start Patroller Config Tool, and go to Operation > Permits, and then do the following:
    1. Turn on Use permit.
    2. Turn off Bypass permit hit enforcement.
    3. Turn off Auto enforce permit hits.
  • Verify that you have a live connection established between Patroller and Security Center. In Patroller, go to Status > Diagnostics, and verify that the Live connection category is green and shows Connected.
