For a new installation of Pay-by-Plate Sync, you need to install the Pay-by-Plate Sync plugin on the Security Center computer hosting the Directory role, and on any other Security Center computers you’ll be using to configure the plugin.

Before you begin

  • Make sure there is a constant cellular data connection, or a Wi-Fi connection from the Patroller in-vehicle computer to the Security Center server.
  • Ensure that your Security Center license has the valid certificate for the Pay-by-Plate Sync plugin. The certificate is one of the following:
    • Mobile Pay-by-Plate
    • Mobile Pay-by-Plate - Multiple Providers

    The license number is included in the product-release email from the Genetec Inc. product manager. This email also includes links to the plugin download package and other license information.

  • Install a compatible version of Security Center on any machines that you’ll use to configure permits and the Pay-by-Plate Sync plugin. For more information, see Pay-by-Plate Sync plugin compatibility.
  • Install a compatible version of Patroller on the in-vehicle computer. For more information, see Pay-by-Plate Sync plugin compatibility.

Procedure

  1. Download the Pay-by-Plate Sync setup from the GTAP Product Downloads page.
  2. Double-click the setup.exe file, and follow the installation instructions.
  3. Click Next, and then follow the on-screen instructions to install the Pay-by-Plate Sync plugin.
  4. When setup is complete, click Finish to close the wizard.
