To prepare your Avon Communications radar system for integration with Security Center, you must configure specific settings.

Before you begin

  • Make sure your Avon Communications system is operating as expected.
  • Make sure your Avon Communications devices and software are compatible with the plugin.

What you should know

This task describes in a general way how the Avon Communications system needs to be configured for it to communicate with the plugin. For specific details about the configuration of your devices and software, refer to the Avon Communications documentation.

Procedure

  1. Deploy and configure the Avon Communications system as described in the Avon Communications documentation.
  2. If your organization's network security policies require the IP devices, routers, and switches in your network to block unused ports, then make sure to open the UDP port that the RSA Surveillance plugin and Avon Communications devices use to communicate.
NOTE: Avon Communications device ports used to communicate with Security Center can be found in the configuration of the radar.
  3. Take note of the following information. You need them to configure the Avon Communications system in Security Center:
    • Multicast IP used by the Avon Communications device
    • Port used by the Avon Communications device
