To prepare your Avon Communications
devices for integration with Security Center, you must configure the Avon Communications system to communicate with the Genetecâ„¢ Restricted Security
Area Surveillance (RSA Surveillance) plugin. For specific details about configuring your
devices and software, refer to the Avon Communications
documentation.
Before you begin
- Make sure that your Avon Communications system is operating as per the
manufacturer's specifications.

Make sure that your Avon Communications devices and software are compatible with the RSA Surveillance plugin. For the latest compatibility
information, see Supported plugins in Security Center on the
Genetec TechDoc Hub.
What you should know
This task describes in a general way how the
Avon Communications system needs to be configured for it to communicate
with the plugin. For specific details about the configuration of your devices and
software, refer to the Avon Communications documentation.
Procedure

Deploy and configure the Avon Communications system as described in the
Avon Communications documentation.

If your organization's network security policies require the IP
devices, routers, and switches in your network to block unused ports, then make sure to
open the UDP port that the RSA Surveillance plugin and
Avon Communications devices use to communicate.
NOTE:
Avon Communications device ports used to communicate with
Security Center can be found in
the configuration of the radar.

Take note of the following information. You need it to
configure the Avon Communications system in Security Center:
- Multicast IP used by the Avon Communications device
- Port used by the Avon Communications device
