To prepare your Axis devices for integration with Security Center, you must configure the Axis system to communicate with the Genetecâ„¢ Restricted Security Area Surveillance (RSA Surveillance) plugin. For specific details about configuring your devices and software, refer to the Axis documentation.

Before you begin

  • Make sure that your Axis system is operating as per the manufacturer's specifications.
  • Make sure that your Axis devices and software are compatible with the RSA Surveillance plugin. For the latest compatibility information, see Supported plugins in Security Center on the Genetec TechDoc Hub.
NOTE: If you have an Axis D2050-VE or D2110-VE radar, see Preparing Axis radars for integration with Security Center.

Procedure

  1. Make sure that the AxisPerimeter Defender camera is running and configured properly.
  2. Run the Axis Perimeter Defender desktop tool and add the camera.
  3. Calibrate the Axis Perimeter Defender camera with the Axis Perimeter Defender desktop tool.
  4. Note the following information, as you will need it to configure the plugin later:
    • IP address of the camera
    • TCP port used by the camera to communicate with the plugin
    • Username and password created previously for the plugin to use
