To prepare your Axis devices for integration with Security Center, you must configure the Axis system to communicate with the Genetecâ„¢ Restricted Security Area Surveillance (RSA Surveillance) plugin. For specific details about configuring your devices and software, refer to the Axis documentation.

Before you begin

  • Make sure that your Axis system is operating as per the manufacturer's specifications.
  • Make sure that your Axis devices and software are compatible with the RSA Surveillance plugin. For the latest compatibility information, see Supported plugins in Security Center on the Genetec TechDoc Hub.

What you should know

These preparatory steps are applicable to Axis D2050-VE and D2110-VE radar models.

Procedure

  1. On the Axis radar, create an administrator-level user account for the plugin to use.
  2. Configure the coordinates of the radar on the web page of the Axis radar.
  3. Note the following information, as you will need it to configure the plugin later:
    • IP address of the radar
    • TCP port used by the radar to communicate with the plugin
    • Username and password created previously for the plugin to use
