To prepare your Fiber SenSys devices for integration with Security Center, you must configure the Fiber SenSys system to communicate with the Genetec™ Restricted Security Area Surveillance (RSA Surveillance) plugin. For specific details about configuring your devices and software, refer to the Fiber SenSys documentation.

Before you begin

NOTE: If you have a Fiber SenSys EchoPoint device, see Preparing your Fiber SenSys EchoPoint system for integration with Security Center.

Procedure

  1. Deploy and configure the Fiber SenSys devices as described in the Fiber SenSys documentation.
  2. Make sure that the perimeter devices are configured in the Lantronix Device Installer application and are operating as expected.
  3. For some organizations, network security policies require that the IP devices, routers, and switches in their network block unused ports. If your organization has such policies in place, then make sure to open the TCP port that the RSA Surveillance plugin and the Fiber SenSys system use to communicate.

Add your Fiber SenSys server as a tracking system to Security Center.
