To prepare your FFT devices for integration with Security Center, you must configure the FFT system to communicate with the Genetecâ„¢ Restricted Security Area Surveillance (RSA Surveillance) plugin. For specific details about configuring your devices and software, refer to the FFT documentation.

Before you begin

  • Make sure that your FFT system is operating as per the manufacturer's specifications.
  • Make sure that your FFT devices and software are compatible with the RSA Surveillance plugin. For the latest compatibility information, see Supported plugins in Security Center on the Genetec TechDoc Hub.

What you should know

If you are using the IS Gateway, the integration requires you to apply an FFT SDK license on the FFT server.

Procedure

  1. Make sure that the FFT CAMS application is configured properly and is running on a server that does not run Security Center or the RSA Surveillance plugin.
  2. Make sure that the perimeter sensors are configured in CAMS and operating as expected. The configuration also includes drawing the perimeters and defining the perimeter segments.
  3. Install the CAMS SDK on the server that hosts the RSA Surveillance plugin and provides the RSA Surveillance role.
You do not need to install the CAMS SDK on each Security Center client workstation.
  4. For some organizations, network security policies require that the IP devices, routers, and switches in their network block unused ports. If your organization has such policies in place, then make sure to open the TCP port that the RSA Surveillance plugin and the FFT system use to communicate.
