To prepare your OPTEX Redscan Pro lasers for integration with Security Center, you must configure the OPTEX system to communicate with the Genetecâ„¢ Restricted Security Area Surveillance (RSA Surveillance) plugin. For specific details about configuring your devices and software, refer to the OPTEX documentation.

Before you begin

  • Make sure that your OPTEX system is operating as per the manufacturer's specifications.
  • Make sure that your OPTEX devices and software are compatible with the RSA Surveillance plugin. For the latest compatibility information, see Supported plugins in Security Center on the Genetec TechDoc Hub.

What you should know

Procedure

  1. From a web browser, log on to the OPTEX laser's configuration web page using the laser's IP address and user credentials.
  2. Click Settings > Detection Range, and make sure that the Tilt direction is set to either Horizontal or Vertical.
    The value must not be set to automatic.
  3. Click Security > HTTPS, and then set the Connection method to HTTP & HTTPS or HTTPS.

  4. Click Information > Installation information, and then set Latitude, Longitude, and Direction.
    The direction is the clockwise orientation angle from the north.
