To prepare your Senstar
devices for integration with Security Center, you must
configure the Senstar system to communicate with the Genetecâ„¢
Restricted Security
Area Surveillance (RSA Surveillance)
plugin. For specific details about configuring your devices and software, refer to the
Senstar documentation.
Before you begin
- Make sure that your Senstar system is operating as per the
manufacturer's specifications.
- Make sure that your Senstar devices and software are compatible with the RSA Surveillance plugin. For the latest compatibility
information, see Supported plugins in Security Center on the
Genetec TechDoc Hub.
What you should know
- These preparatory steps are applicable to Senstar
FiberPatrol and OmniTrax models.
- TLS 1.3 is currently not supported.
Procedure
-
Deploy and configure the Senstar system as described in the
Senstar documentation.
-
Make sure that the IP address of the RSA Surveillance plugin server is whitelisted in the
Senstar software.
-
To use TLS 1.2 communication, copy the MyCertificate.pem
file into C:\Program Files (x86)\Security Center Plugins\RSA
Plugin\TrackingSystem\Senstar\Certificate on the RSA Surveillance server.
By default, the certificate is located in
C:\Senstar\Network
Manager\Certificates.
NOTE: There must only be one file in
C:\Program Files (x86)\Security Center Plugins\RSA
Plugin\TrackingSystem\Senstar\Certificate.
-
For some organizations, network security policies require that the
IP devices, routers, and switches in their network block unused ports. If your
organization has such policies in place, then make sure to open the TCP port that the
RSA Surveillance plugin and the Senstar system use to communicate.
Senstar NMS uses ports 850 - 859, depending on the number of devices you
have.
