To prepare your Sensurity devices for integration with Security Center, you must configure the Sensurity system to communicate with the Genetecâ„¢ Restricted Security Area Surveillance (RSA Surveillance) plugin. For specific details about configuring your devices and software, refer to the Sensurity documentation.
Before you begin
- Make sure that your Sensurity system is operating as per the manufacturer's specifications.
- Make sure that your Sensurity devices and software are compatible with the RSA Surveillance plugin. For the latest compatibility information, see Supported plugins in Security Center on the Genetec TechDoc Hub.
What you should know
Sensurity devices (OSDP peripheral devices) can receive and generate data over Ethernet. They are connected to the Sensurity Universe Service, which is responsible for operating the OSDP networks. Sensurity provides a network access to Security Center to control and monitor all the devices.
Procedure
- Deploy and configure the Sensurity system as described in the Sensurity documentation.
- Make sure that the devices are configured in the Sensurity Universe Service application and are operating as expected.
- For some organizations, network security policies require that the IP devices, routers, and switches in their network block unused ports. If your organization has such policies in place, then make sure to open the TCP port that the RSA Surveillance plugin and the Sensurity system use to communicate.
