To connect your RMS with Security Center, you must Configure the plugin role. Settings to configure include authentication mode and search preferences.

1. From the Config Tool homepage, open the Plugins task.
2. In the Plugins task, select the plugin role from the entity browser, and click the Properties tab.
3. In the General section, configure the following:

   RMS provider address

   Enter the URL address of the server that your RMS is running on.

   Allow only trusted certificates

   Select whether to allow only trusted certificates, or also self-signed certificates.

   NOTE:

   • If your internal network is not connected to the internet, you might not be using a trusted certificate.
   • If you decide to trust self-signed certificates, a ‘trust on first use’ policy is applied, meaning that only the first self-signed certificate submitted to the system is trusted.

4. In the Authentication section, configure the following:

   Mode

   Select the authentication mode you defined in your RMS API and enter the relevant credentials.

   Use authentication for images

   Choose whether or not to require authentication for image links in your RMS. This setting should match the selection you made in your RMS.

5. In the Search section, configure the following:

   Search radius

   Select the search radius to be used in Genetec Citigraf™:

   Investigation

   You can use the same radius as the current Citigraf investigation task. This includes ALPR units, cameras, people, and other events and entities.

   Fixed

   You can set a fixed search radius specifically for people included in your RMS.

   Search by address

   Searches attempt to use the address information from the CAD call when checking the RMS system. If no address is available, search by radius is used.

   Maximum record age

   Select the number of past days included in searches.

6. In the Image caching section, configure the following:

   Image caching duration

   Select the duration for which images are kept in the process memory (RAM). Setting this duration can save time and bandwidth if you need to view or download the images again within the specified period

   Tip: Shorten this time period if image caching is consuming too much system memory. This issue can occur if you are conducting numerous searches that generate many results for multiple investigations simultaneously.

7. Click Apply.
