Restricted Security Area Surveillance

To monitor the restricted areas secured by your tracking system in Security Center, you must add the SpotterRF server as a tracking system entity using Config Tool.

Before you begin

  1. From the Config Tool home page, open the Area view task.
  2. Click Add an entity (), and then select Tracking system.
The Add tracking system wizard opens.
  3. On the Tracking system information page, enter the following information:
    Select SpotterRF.
Enter a unique name for this tracking system.
  4. On the Communication page, enter the following information:
The IP address of the server that hosts the NetworkedIO's API.
The TCP/IP port for remote access that was configured in the NetworkedIO application.
    User and password
The administrator-level credentials of the NetworkedIO application.
  5. Define the connection settings for the RSA HTTP server:
    Listening port
The HTTP port for this HTTP server. The port number must be unique for each SpotterRF tracking system that is added to Security Center.
    User and password
Enter a username and password. These case-sensitive credentials are used by the SpotterRF push action script to authenticate to the RSA HTTP server.
The plugin creates an HTTP server locally for this SpotterRF tracking system. A NetworkedIO push action script will connect to this HTTP server to communicate and push target movements for the SpotterRF radar zones.
  6. Click Refresh connection status () to connect.
  7. Click Next page ().
  8. On the RSA configuration page, enter the following information:
    Import on map
Select the map that you want to use to display the devices in Security Center.
Turn on the custom events you want to monitor for this tracking system.
NOTE: You can modify this later on the Properties page of the tracking system.
  9. Click Finish.
The tracking system and its devices are listed in the Area view entity tree.
  10. In the SpotterRF NetworkedIO application, create a push action script that connects to the RSA HTTP server.
  11. Create RSA zones.
  12. Trigger an intrusion event in a SpotterRF radar zone to confirm that SpotterRF is communicating with the plugin.
In the Alarm monitoring task, an intrusion detection alarm from the radar is reported.
