To facilitate target monitoring and investigation in Security Desk, you can classify targets by type and threat category after you have identified them through associated video.

What you should know

You can only change the threat category of a target from the Maps task.

Procedure

To classify targets by type and threat category in the Maps task:

  1. From the Security Desk home page, open the Maps task.
  2. Open the map, and then click the target you want to classify.
The target is highlighted in the RSA intrusions panel.
  3. To change the target type, click the target icon, and select a new icon.
  4. To change the target threat category, click the color list, and select a new category.
The target changes color on the map, and the icon changes everywhere the icon is displayed.

To classify targets by type in the Monitoring task:

  1. From the Security Desk home page, open the Monitoring task.
  2. IN the entity tree, double-click the RSA zone in which the target is detected.
The zone and target information is displayed in a monitoring tile.
  3. In the tile, select the target to display it in the RSA zone widget.
  4. In the widget, click the target icon, and select a new icon.
The target icon changes everywhere the icon is displayed.
