To prepare your Future Fibre Technologies (FFT) system for integration with Security Center, you must configure specific settings.

Before you begin

  • Make sure your tracking devices and systems are operating as expected.
  • Make sure your perimeter intrusion detection system is compatible with the plugin.

What you should know

This task describes in a general way how a perimeter intrusion detection system needs to be configured for it to communicate with the plugin. For specific details about the configuration of your devices and software, refer to the Future Fibre Technologies documentation.

  1. Make sure that the FFT CAMS application is configured properly and is running on a server that does not run Security Center or the RSA Surveillance plugin.
  2. Make sure the perimeter sensors are configured in CAMS and operating as expected, this includes drawing the perimeters and defining perimeter segments.
  3. Install the CAMS SDK on the server that hosts the RSA Surveillance plugin and provides the RSA Surveillance role.
You do not need to install the CAMS SDK on each Security Center client workstation.
  4. If your organization's network security policies require that the IP devices, routers, and switches in your network block unused ports, then make sure to open the TCP port that the RSA Surveillance plugin and the perimeter system use to communicate.
