When you click a target on a map, video is displayed from the camera that is most
optimally positioned to see the target. If this camera is a PTZ camera, you can configure how
much the camera zooms in on the target, based on the radius you set.
What you should know
The zoom is calculated by the
RSA Surveillance plugin so
that the field of view includes the width of the target plus the configured radius on the
right and the left.
Procedure
-
From the Config
Tool home page, open the
Plugins task.
-
Select the Restricted Security
Area Surveillance
role, and then click the Properties tab.
-
Click Show advanced settings.
-
In the Auto-zoom section, set the
Radius.
If the Radius is set to five meters, and the target is one
meter wide, the PTZ camera will zoom in to the target until the video frame shows five
meters on each side of the target. The video will show a span of eleven meters.
-
Click Apply.
