Before you can use native Security Center events to trigger target creations, you must create the Genetec™ driver macro to generate the RSA Generic Event that you configure in the Genetec™ tracking system.

Before you begin

In the Config Tool System task, click General settings > Events, and take note of the value of the RSA Generic Event.

What you should know

The macro must be created from the .cs file included in the installation package of your RSA Surveillance plugin version. If you have upgraded from a previous version of the plugin, you must recreate the macro using the new .cs file.

Procedure

  1. From the Config Tool homepage, open the System task, and click the Macros view.
  2. Click Macro (), and enter a name for the macro.
  3. Click the Properties tab.
  4. Click Import from file, navigate to the GenetecDriverMacro.cs file, and then click Open.
By default, the file is located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Security Center Plugins\RSA Plugin\Macro.
The contents of the file are displayed on the Properties page of the macro.
  5. Click Apply.
  6. Click the Default execution context tab.
  7. In the RSACustomEventId field, enter the value of the RSA Generic Event.
  8. Click Apply.

Results

The RSA Generic Event will be triggered when the macro is executed.
