When a tracking device is removed from the field, you must also delete the device from the RSA Surveillance plugin.

What you should know

This task applies to tracking systems that provide the connection to the tracking devices, like SpotterRF and Navtech.

A tracking system does not inform the plugin when a device is removed from the system. When the plugin connects to a tracking system, it checks for new devices in the system and adds them, but it does not check for missing devices. If a device was removed from your tracking system, you must remove the tracking system from Security Center, and then add it back again.


  1. From the Config Tool homepage, open the Area view task.
  2. Select a tracking system, and click Delete ().
  3. Add the same tracking system back to the Area view task.
    The tracking systems shows all sub-devices currently online and connected.

After you finish

If your system defines the zones in its management software, import the zones to create RSA zones.
