When an RSA perimeter is armed, it is ready to detect targets that cross it. RSA perimeters are armed from their associated tracking devices in the Monitoring task.

What you should know

By default, an armed RSA perimeter is black and a disarmed RSA perimeter is white. When the perimeter sensor reports an error, the perimeter reports a system warning and changes to orange. If an intruder is detected on the perimeter, the perimeter changes to purple. All of these colors are configurable from Config Tool on the tracking system's Properties tab.

Procedure

  1. From the Security Desk homepage, open the Monitoring task.
  2. To arm an RSA perimeter, in the entities pane, expand a perimeter tracking system, right-click a perimeter device, and select Arm.
On the map, the RSA perimeter line changes to the armed color, which is black by default.
