If you have a perimeter intrusion detection system, you must create RSA perimeters in Security Center to delineate the perimeters you want to monitor on maps.

Before you begin

Your perimeter intrusion detection system must be added to Security Center.

What you should know

  • When the RSA perimeters are created, the RSA perimeter changes color to indicate an intrusion is detected.
  • If you want to see targets on the map when an intruder is detected crossing the RSA perimeter, create an RSA zone, and draw the RSA zone to surround the RSA perimeter on the goereferenced map.
NOTE: This only works if your tracking system supports target positioning.

Procedure

  1. From the Config Tool home page, open the Map designer task.
  2. Select the georeferenced map.
  3. In the toolbar, click Draw polygon ().
  4. On the map, draw a line to define the perimeter.
Click once to add a point, and then double-click to end the line.
  5. In the Identity widget, click Unassigned, and select a perimeter device from the list.
NOTE: If you select a different type of tracking device, the RSA perimeter will not change color when an intrusion is detected.
  6. In the Map designer toolbar, click Save ().

After you finish

If you want to see targets on the map when an intruder is detected crossing the RSA perimeter, create an RSA zone, and draw the RSA zone to surround the RSA perimeter on the goereferenced map.
NOTE: This only works if your tracking system supports target positioning.
