You can create RSA zones in Security Center by importing zones from the management software of the tracking system. Some tracking systems do not support this feature.
Before you begin
- Verify that your tracking system supports zone import. See Tracking System Compatibility for the Restricted Security Area Surveillance Plugin.
- Create a georeferenced map in Security Center.
- Create alarms in Security Center to be associated to RSA zone
intrusions.NOTE: To ensure that no alarm is missed for any target, you must set the alarm's Reactivation threshold to 0 seconds.
- Add your tracking system to Security Center.
Procedure
- From the Config Tool home page, open the Plugins task.
- Select the Restricted Security Area Surveillance role, and then click the Zones tab.
-
Click Add zone ().
The Add zone wizard opens.
- On the Zones page, select Import from tracking system.
-
Enter the following information:
- Tracking system
- The tracking systems that contains zones for import.
- Zones
- The names of the zones created in the tracking system's management software. Select one or more zones from the list to import them.
- Map
- The map in Security Center where the zone will be displayed.
- Type
- Select the type of RSA zone.
- Horizontal
- A horizontal RSA zone is represented as a colored shape on a georeferenced Security Center map.
- Vertical
- A vertical RSA zone is represented as a colored shape on an image map to add context to the location of detected intrusions.
- Vertical RSA zones are only used with tracking systems that support vertical mode.
- Click Next page ().
-
On the Cameras page, click Add camera
().
The Select cameras dialog box opens.
- Select the cameras that have the RSA zone in their field of view (FoV) and click OK.
-
If you have multiple cameras, click or to set up the camera
priority list.
The system uses the cameras defined in this list for auto-tracking and alarm display.
- For vertical RSA zones, configure the camera overlays.
-
If you want Security Center to show live video
of a moving target the moment it enters this RSA zone, turn on the
Auto-tracking option.
If you enable this option, you must disable the native auto-tracking feature on your tracking systems if you are importing cameras from them.
- Click Next page ().
-
On the Intrusions page, under the Targets to
ignore section, configure the following:
- Threats
- Add or remove threat categories that you want the intrusion detection algorithm to ignore. Targets that belong to the listed categories are not displayed on the map, and do not generate events when entering this RSA zone.
- Classifications
- Add or remove the target types that you want the intrusion detection algorithm to ignore. Targets that match a listed type are not displayed on the map, and do not generate events when entering this RSA zone.
-
Under the Configuration section, configure the following:
- Alarm on intrusion
- Select the alarm that you want to trigger when an intrusion is detected. The alarm
selected for this RSA zone overrides the Default alarm on
intrusion configured on the Zones
page.
When an intrusion triggers this alarm, only the best camera returned by the camera selection algorithm is displayed for this alarm. If no camera can see the target, all cameras assigned to the RSA zone are displayed. The system follows the Video display option configured for the selected alarm.
- New threat on intrusion
- Select the threat category to be assigned to all targets that enter this zone. For example, to change all Unknown targets to Hostile targets when they enter this zone, set this parameter to Hostile. This setting does not affect the targets you choose to ignore.
- Click Next page ().
- (Optional) On the Arm/disarm page, select events to trigger the RSA zone to be armed and disarmed, and the source entity of those events.
-
Click Finish, and then click
Apply.
The RSA zone is added to the Zones list. Imported zones are displayed as colored polygons on the map.NOTE: (For Spotter RF only) To update the RSA zone's position on the map to get the latest position in the tracking system it was imported from, select the imported RSA zone from the list, and click Synchronize ().
