SALTO credentials are managed by Security Center. To import and store the credentials, you
must first select a card format.
What you should know
SALTO Virtual Network uses a custom SALTO credential
format, which can be larger than what conventional readers can read. This selector
determines how these SALTO Virtual Network credentials are represented in Security Center. You can choose to represent them as
a custom SALTO format or as a 32-bit CSN.
- Due to limitations in the CSN format, credentials received from SALTO that are
larger than 32 bits will not be imported when the 32-bit CSN format is
selected
- If you want to change the card format after synchronization, you must delete and
recreate the plugin role.
Procedure
-
From the Config Tool homepage, open the
Plugins task.
-
In the Plugins task, select the plugin role from the
entity browser, and click the Properties tab.
-
Select a card format from the Create Salto credentials
as list:
- Custom Salto format
- (Default) This card format represents SALTO credentials for use by the SALTO ProAccess
SPACE-based system.
- CSN
- Card Serial Number (CSN) is a standard Security Center card format used
by SALTO credentials in a system that has readers from multiple
manufacturers.
-
Click Apply.
Results
During the next synchronization with the SALTO system, the card format you selected
here will be applied to newly-imported credentials.
