You can upgrade SALTO Virtual Network plugin from any earlier version directly to version 3.3.0.

Before you begin

  1. Read the release notes to learn about important information for this release.
  2. Confirm that your versions of Security Center, the SALTO Virtual Network, and the plugin are compatible.

What you should know

  • You can upgrade directly from any earlier version to version 3.3.0.
  • The plugin must be upgraded on all Security Center client and server computers.
  • An upgrade keeps your current entities and their configuration, and all event notifications.
  • The Directory database contains all your entities.
  • The plugin database contains all your event notifications.
  • It isn’t required to uninstall the plugin before upgrading to the new version.

Procedure

  1. Open Server Admin, and back up the Directory database.
  2. Back up the plugin role database.
  3. From the Windows Services console, stop the Genetec™ Server service.
  4. Install the new version of the plugin.
  5. From the Windows Services console, start the Genetec Server service.
    The plugin is ready for use.
