Using the Security Patrol System (SPS) CheckPoint plugin, you can monitor guard tours and personnel sweeps to ensure that your team completes their patrols.

You define the path your personnel needs to follow, and assign events they must trigger to complete the checkpoints. The SPS CheckPoint plugin generates custom events when checkpoints are triggered, missed, or late. You can use any Security Center event as a checkpoint, including access control, video, ALPR, intrusion events, and more.

SPS CheckPoint plugin
The SPS CheckPoint plugin is installed on a Security Center server and runs as a plugin role.
Config Tool
The SPS CheckPoint plugin is also installed on a Config Tool workstation. The Security Center administrator uses Config Tool to create and configure the plugin role.
Security Desk
The SPS CheckPoint plugin is installed on all Security Desk workstations. Security Desk operators monitor a guard's progress on a tour.
A tour is a collection of checkpoints along a defined route that security guards (cardholders) must reach; usually within a specified time. The guard's progress is recorded by Security Center and can be monitored by staff in the central office from the Tour monitoring task in Security Desk.
A checkpoint can be any entity in Security Center; including events, door readers, intrusion detection units, LPRs, or any device that allows a cardholder to present a credential.
