To grant access to a tenant who forgot their credential, or to allow emergency personnel to access a floor, you can manually dispatch an elevator in the Schindler PORT system from the Monitoring task in Security Desk.

Procedure

  1. From the home page in Security Desk, open the Monitoring task.
  2. Right-click a terminal in the area view or in a tile, and click Dispatch elevator ().
  3. In the Dispatch elevator dialog box, do one of the following:
    • If you have floors set up as entities, select Select entity, choose a floor, and click OK.
    • If you do not have floors set up as entities, select Select floor number, and click OK.

Results

The elevator is dispatched and the Elevator requested by user event is triggered. The elevator car number appears on the terminal at the landing that the car is dispatched to, but the number is not displayed in Security Desk.
