If you add enforced hit attributes in the ALPR Manager configuration, Genetec Patroller™ will prompt the vehicle operator to add extra license plate hit details that are not included in the hit metadata sent by the Sharp camera.

What you should know

  • When the patrol vehicle operator enters an enforced hit attribute for a hotlist or permit hit, the attribute is added to the read metadata. If the attribute already exists for the vehicle in the hotlist, the value in the hotlist is overwritten.
  • You cannot add an enforced hit attribute if the attribute already exists in the Properties tab of the hotlist or permit configuration. For more information on hotlist attributes, see Adding custom fields as annotation fields.

Procedure

  1. Add the attribute as an annotation field so that it appears in the Reads and Hits report columns. For more information, see Configuring hotlist and permit attributes.
  2. From the Config Tool homepage, click ALPR > General settings > Applications.
Adding enforced hit attributes ALPR - General settings - Applications.
  3. Under Enforced hit attributes, click Add an item ().
  4. Enter the text that you want to appear in the prompt when the patrol vehicle operator enforces a hit.
  5. Click Apply.
When a hit occurs in Patroller, the vehicle operator must enter the enforced hit attributes.
