You can assign PIN credentials to cardholders or visitors.

What you should know

In this procedure, it is assumed you have already created the cardholder or visitor in Security Center.

Procedure

  1. Do one of the following:
    • For cardholders, open the Cardholder management task, select a cardholder, and then click Modify ().
    • For visitors, open the Visitor management task, select a visitor, and then click Modify ().
  2. In the Credential section, click Add a credential (), and then select PIN.
    The PIN dialog box opens.

  3. Enter the PIN as a numerical value.
    NOTE: Do not exceed the number of digits accepted by your readers. A typical PIN length is 5 digits, but certain models accept up to 15 digits.
  4. Click OK.
    The credential is displayed as a keypad icon in the Credential section of the cardholder or visitor. The credential name and status are displayed. Active indicates that the credential is assigned.
  5. Click Save and close.
