To recover faster from errors or failures that require reconfiguring the entire system, you can back up and restore the network configuration of your system.
Before you begin
What you should know
- The network configuration backup files are encrypted and stored on the client machine running the Config Tool. The network configuration settings are local and cannot be transferred to another machine.
- Automatic backups are stored whenever a configuration is changed, including when
restoring another backup.
You can store a maximum of 50 automatic network configuration backups. The default is 10. You can change this value in the User interaction section of the Options dialog box in Config Tool.
