To define the access rights of cards that are used with offline locks, you must encode the cards with OSS Standard Offline configurations in Security Center. This must be done using a STid USB reader that is set up as an encoding station.
Before you begin
What you should know
- You cannot encode cards from the Credential management task, the cardholder creation wizard, or the credential creation wizard.
- When the value of the Max blacklist entries setting is lower than the number of entries already in Security Center, the card cannot be updated with the full blacklist. Only the most recent entries are encoded on the card, up to the maximum number of entries configured.
- To encode a card with both standard and OSS Standard Offline configurations at the same
time, an OSS Standard Offline configuration must be the highest configuration on the list
of selected configurations. To change the order of configurations, use the arrows beside
the MIFARE DESFire configuration list on the Configuration
page of the MIFARE DESFire configuration task.
