If you delete an Active Directory role, you can release ownership of the entities to your local Security Center system. If you recreate the role, it can reclaim ownership of the entities that were previously released.

What you should know

  • You can release ownership of the following entity types from the Active Directory role to your local Security Center system when deleting the role:
    • Cardholders
    • Cardholder groups
    • Credentials
    • Users
    • User groups
  • If you create a new Active Directory role, you can reclaim the entities that were released to the local Security Center system.

Procedure

  1. Open the System task and click the Roles view.
  2. Right-click the Active Directory role and select Delete.
    A dialog box opens to inform you that deleting the role deletes all of its entities.
  3. To release ownership of the Active Directory entities to your local Security Center system, select the Keep dependent entities option.
  4. Click Delete.
