This section lists the settings found in the ALPR unit's Properties tab, in the ALPR task.

In the Properties tab, you can view hardware and software information about the ALPR unit, including the serial number and firmware version. If the unit is used in a fixed setup, you can view its network configuration and associate specific hotlists with the unit.

Active
(For old Sharp models only) The ALPR unit is manually added in Security Center Config Tool using the unit's listening port.

Cameras
(Optional) Video cameras assigned to the ALPR camera to provide context for license plate reads. You can assign the unit’s built-in color context camera or any external video camera. Assigning multiple cameras provides views from different angles. To assign the unit's context camera, you must first enroll it to an Archiver role as a video camera.
File association (fixed setup only)
Select how the ALPR unit uses hotlists:
Inherit from ALPR Manager role
The ALPR unit uses the hotlists associated with its parent ALPR Manager. This is the default setting.
Specific
Associate specific hotlists with the ALPR unit to enable event-to-actions in Security Desk that trigger based on the hotlists. For example, when using the SharpV to control access to a parking lot, you can add vehicle plates to a hotlist and associate that hotlist with the SharpV.
NOTE: To reboot a Sharp camera, click the Reboot button found in the toolbar at the bottom of the Config Tool workspace. If the Reboot button is not displayed, log on to the Sharp Portal Configuration page, and then select Accept remote reboot requests. For more information, see the administrator guide for your Sharp camera.
