A video unit is a video encoding or decoding device that communicates directly with an Archiver. Many models include built-in recording and video analytics features. A video unit can process video inputs from multiple analog cameras or integrate with one or more camera sensors, referred to as IP cameras.
Video units are created manually, or automatically by the Archiver if the unit supports automatic discovery.
