To view license plate reads from Genetec Cloudrunner™ in Security Center, you must add the cloud cameras to the required ALPR Manager.

Before you begin

Ensure that you have an active Administrator account on the Cloudrunner Portal.

What you should know

You can only register one tenant to an ALPR Manager role. You can add up to 100 Cloudrunner cameras to a single ALPR Manager role. If you have multiple tenants in your account, you need multiple ALPR Manager roles to integrate the cameras from each tenant. The following Config Tool actions aren’t applicable for Cloudrunner cameras:
  • Replacing the unit with a different Cloudrunner camera.
  • Upgrading the firmware version of the unit.
  • Deleting the unit when it’s active (selected) to an ALPR Manager role.
NOTE: The read rate for receiving data from Cloudrunner to Security Center is 7 reads per second.

Procedure

  1. From the Config Tool homepage, click the ALPR task and select Roles and units.
  2. Select the ALPR Manager you want to configure, and then click the Properties tab.
  3. Select Cloudrunner integration.
  4. Click Register.
  5. In the pop-up window, enter your Cloudrunner login.
NOTE: If you have multiple tenants in your account, select the tenant whose cameras you want to add to the ALPR Manager.
After the tenant is successfully connected, the Status is updated to Registered and the Cloudrunner tenant details are displayed. The following example illustrates the updated Status section, when a tenant is successfully registered.
  6. Click Import from Cloudrunner.
  7. From the list of cameras displayed, select the cameras whose reads you want to view. You can select SharpV (), CR-H2 (), or 3rd-party () cameras.
    NOTE:
    • Cameras appear gray if they are already selected in another ALPR Manager.
    • To move a camera to a new ALPR Manager role, clear the checkbox in the old ALPR Manager role and select the checkbox in the new ALPR Manager role.
  8. (Optional) If you add a new camera to your Cloudrunner account, click Refresh to view it in the list.
  9. Click Apply.
