For the Auxiliary Archiver to create video archives, you must add cameras to be controlled by the role.
Procedure
- From the Config Tool homepage, open the Video task and click the Roles and units view.

Select the Auxiliary Archiver, click the Cameras tab, and click
Add an item (
).

In the dialog box that opens, select the cameras you want and click
OK.
NOTE: It takes a few seconds for the selected cameras to be added. If the role is unable to add a camera in the given time, a failed status is indicated, and the camera is removed.
- Click Apply.

To override the default recording settings on a camera:

Select the camera from the list and click Jump to (
).
The camera configuration page is selected. - From the Recording tab of the camera, select the tab that corresponds to the current Auxiliary Archiver.
- Under Recording settings, click Custom settings, and make the necessary changes.
- Click Apply.
