If a federated system is no longer required or must be taken offline for server maintenance, you can delete the Federation role.

Before you begin

You can release ownership of the following entity types from the Federation role to the local Security Center system when deleting the role:
  • Cardholders
  • Cardholder groups
  • Credentials
  • Visitors

Procedure

  1. Open the System task and click the Roles view.
  2. Right-click the Federation role and select Delete.
    A dialog box opens to inform you that deleting the role will delete all of its entities.
  3. To release federated entities to your local Security Center system, select the Keep dependent entities option.
  4. Click Delete.
