Security Center

To enhance your situational awareness and increase system security, you can use maps in Security Center to view and navigate your facilities in real time, as well as manage your cameras, doors, and other security systems.

To use maps in Security Center, you must have Plan Manager enabled in your license. To work with your maps in Security Desk, you can use either the Maps task, which is dedicated to working with maps, or the generic Monitoring task.
With maps, you can do the following:
  • Pan and zoom on maps
  • Navigate through different maps
  • Span a single map across multiple monitors
  • Manage your security equipment (cameras, doors, zones, and so on) on maps
  • Monitor and respond to real-time notifications of alarms and events on maps
  • Add local and federated entities on maps
  • Show and hide specific information (map objects) displayed on maps
  • Point to or click map object to view related information displayed in a text bubble
  • Find devices on maps so that you can see what other devices are close to them
  • Mark points of interest (fire exits, first aid kits, and so on) on maps
  • Monitor and control cameras, doors, intrusion detection areas, and zones on maps
  • Monitor moving objects (such as patrol vehicles) on maps
  • View license plate reads and hits from fixed LPR cameras on maps
  • Monitor the state of input pins (active, inactive) directly on maps
  • Control the behavior of output relays directly from maps
  • Run macros directly from maps
