An intrusion detection unit is an entity that represents an intrusion device (intrusion panel, control panel, receiver, and so on) that is monitored and controlled by the Intrusion Manager role.

An intrusion panel (also known as alarm panel or control panel) is a wall-mounted unit where the alarm sensors (motion sensors, smoke detectors, door sensors, and so on) and wiring of the intrusion alarms are connected and managed.

For a list of intrusion detection panels supported in Security Center, see the Security Center Release Notes.

To monitor and control intrusion detection areas (zones or partitions) in Security Desk, you must enroll the intrusion panel that controls them by adding an intrusion detection unit.
