You can link cameras to the inputs of intrusion detection areas, so that when an intrusion detection area event is triggered, the camera linked to the specific input is displayed in a Security Desk monitoring tile.

What you should know

If different cameras are linked to an intrusion detection area and its inputs, when an intrusion detection area event is displayed in a tile, the camera of the input associated with the event is displayed first. You can cycle or unpack the tile to display the video from the other cameras.
NOTE: This only works for intrusion detection area events; video is not displayed if you drag input events into tiles.

Procedure

  1. From the Config Tool home page, open the Area view task.
  2. Select the intrusion detection area to configure, and click the Properties tab.
  3. From the Devices list, select an input, and then click Edit the item ().
The Assign cameras to inputs dialog box opens.
  4. If you have cameras associated to the intrusion detection area, select a camera.
  5. To add a camera not associated to the area, click Add an item (), select a camera from the list, and then click OK.
  6. Click OK > Apply.
