Upgrading the Security Center Camera Driver Pack - Security Center Camera Drivers 12.4.0

To upgrade your Security Center Camera Driver Pack manually, you can download a package installer from the Genetec Portal.

Before you begin

Ensure that Security Center and the Driver Pack are the same version on all servers assigned to the Archiver role.

In general, the Driver Pack is upgraded with the Genetec™ Update Service (GUS). For more information, see Selecting Security Center updates.

If you need to do a manual upgrade, use the instructions below.

CAUTION:

Upgrading the camera Driver Pack results in a Genetec Service restart.

Log on to the Genetec Portal and download the patch release.
1. In the Technical Assistance section, click Product Downloads.
2. From the Download Finder list, select Security Center.
3. From the drop-downs, select the version number and build number.
4. In the Driver Pack section, click the package download icon.
Close all Genetec applications.
Double-click Genetec Security Center Drivers v 12.4.0 Setup.exe.
Extract the files to a Windows folder. By default, the extracted files are saved to C:\Genetec.
Right-click the extracted Genetec Security Center Drivers v 12.4.0 Setup.exe file and select Run as administrator.
After InstallShield has finished analyzing your computer to begin the installation, click Update.
After the installer completes, click Finish.
