You can upgrade the Security Center Camera Driver Pack without any prompts or visual feedback by using a command line.

Before you begin

Ensure that Security Center and the Driver Pack are the same version on all servers assigned to the Archiver role.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Genetec Portal and download the patch release.
    1. In the Technical Assistance section, click Product Downloads.
    2. From the Download Finder list, select Security Center.
    3. From the drop-downs, select the version number and build number.
    4. In the Driver Pack section, click the package download icon.
  2. Close all Genetec applications.
  3. Double-click Genetec Security Center Drivers v 12.5.0 Setup.exe.
  4. Extract the files to a Windows folder.
    By default, the extracted files are save to C:\Genetec.
  5. Use the command prompt to run the following command:
    Code
    Genetec Security Center Drivers v 12.5.0 Setup.exe" /s /v/qn

    The command can be run from the location of the .exe file. For example:

    “Patch release for Genetec Security Center Drivers v 12.5.0 Setup.exe" /s /v/qn

    The command can also be run by providing the complete file path:

    Code
    “C:\Genetec\Patch release for Genetec Security Center Drivers v 12.5.0 Setup.exe" /s /v/qn

After you finish

To verify that the installation was successful, click Windows > Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features > View installed updates and consult the list of installed updates for Security Center Driver Pack.
