To display graphics on variable message signs and have them available in Security Center, you must configure your DMS entity graphics.

Before you begin

  • Ensure you have enabled the Supports graphics feature in the Display tab.
  • Ensure the sign is online. Graphics cannot be configured for a sign that is offline or in maintenance mode.

What you should know

Graphics can only be uploaded as .bmp files.

Procedure

  1. From the Config Tool homepage, open the Area view task.
  2. From the entity tree, select your DMS entity.
  3. Click the Graphics tab and click .
    The Add graphic window opens.
  4. Click Browse and navigate to your file.
  5. In the Graphic name field, enter a name for the graphic.
  6. In the Graphic number field, assign an ID for your graphic.
  7. To enable one of the colors of the graphic to be transparent, enable the Transparent option, and select the color from the list.
  8. Click OK.
  9. To save your graphic to your local PC, click .
