To send data using the MQTT protocol, configure an MQTT data sink.

Before you begin

Create a data sink.

Procedure

  1. From the Config Tool home page, open the Plugins task.
  2. In the Plugins task, select the Security Center Fleet Monitoring plugin role from the entity browser and click the Data sinks tab.
  3. Select an MQTT data sink.
  4. In the MQTT broker section, configure the following:
    1. IP address: The IP address used to connect to the data sink.
    2. Port: The port used to connect to the data sink.
    3. SSL protocol: The SSL protocol used to communicate with the data sink.
    4. Username: The username used to connect to the data sink.
    5. Password: The password used to connect to the data sink.
    6. Accept self-signed certificates: Dictate whether the data sink accepts self-signed certificates instead of requiring a valid certificate signed by a certificate authority.
    7. Trust regex: Enter the regex value used to validate the data sink. This is used to validate the self-signed certificate from the data sink
    8. Entry-exit event: Activate this setting and entry and exit events will be sent to the data sink.
    9. Topic: Define the MQTT topic that will be used for entry and exit events
