To send data using the MQTT protocol, configure an MQTT data sink.
Before you begin
Procedure
- From the Config Tool home page, open the Plugins task.
- In the Plugins task, select the Security Center Fleet Monitoring plugin role from the entity browser and click the Data sinks tab.
- Select an MQTT data sink.

In the MQTT broker section, configure the following:
- IP address: The IP address used to connect to the data sink.
- Port: The port used to connect to the data sink.
- SSL protocol: The SSL protocol used to communicate with the data sink.
- Username: The username used to connect to the data sink.
- Password: The password used to connect to the data sink.
- Accept self-signed certificates: Dictate whether the data sink accepts self-signed certificates instead of requiring a valid certificate signed by a certificate authority.
- Trust regex: Enter the regex value used to validate the data sink. This is used to validate the self-signed certificate from the data sink
- Entry-exit event: Activate this setting and entry and exit events will be sent to the data sink.
- Topic: Define the MQTT topic that will be used for entry and exit events
