AVL unit is hidden and unclickable in a defined area - Fleet Monitoring 5.10.0.1

Cause

Map layers, including entities like areas and AVL units, are arranged in a z-order where areas are displayed above the AVL units.

Solution

1. From the Config Tool homepage, open the Map Designer task.
2. Click Map > Layers.
3. Click AVL unit, and then click until it is above Area.

AVL units are now displayed on top of the layers displayed on a map.
