General Transit Feed Specification (GTFS) settings specify how to access an agency's GTFS feeds. GTFS is a data specification used by many transit agencies to publish schedules and fleet information.
Setting name | Description |
---|---|
GTFS | |
Monitor GTFS realtime | When selected, GTFS realtime feed is used to detect vehicles in service and capture the GTFS route and trip IDs as metadata. |
GTFS real-time vehicle positions URL | Enter the URL required to pull GTFS vehicle position information from the agency's GTFS real-time vehicle positions feed. |
GTFS real-time poll interval | Select a time period after which the system checks for new data from the GTFS real-time feed. |
Vehicle descriptor field for AVL identifier | Select the GTFS vehicle descriptor used to map an entity in the feed to an AVL unit's GTFS identifier. |
Online maximum age | Set the maximum allowable time gap between the last recorded timestamp of GTFS
real-time data and the current time for an AVL unit. AVL units that exceed this time
limit are not considered online in GTFS. NOTE: This information
is used to detect discrepancies between a GPS unit's online status and GTFS online
status.

Monitor GTFS static | When selected, the system monitors GTFS static to determine geofences for a vehicle based on its current trip stops. |
GTFS static feed URL | Enter the URL address associated with the GTFS static feed. |
GTFS static read time of day | Select the time of day at which the GTFS static feed is read. |
