Use the Vehicle inventory task to monitor AVL units and related data, and jump to a Monitoring task for any AVL unit or associated camera.

What you should know

When vehicles are not connected to the headend, the Vehicle inventory task shows the last known status for these vehicles. This principle also applies to vehicles that are turned off.

Procedure

To configure the Vehicle inventory task:

  1. To refine the list of vehicles in the list and narrow your search results, click Filter () and select the filters you require.
  2. To arrange the columns in the Vehicle inventory task, drag the columns to the desired position.
  3. To choose which columns to show or hide, click Inventory table settings ().
    NOTE: You can also right click on the top column header to access the hidden columns menu.
  4. To set a time period after which the page refreshes with the latest information automatically, click the Auto refresh checkbox and define a time period.
    Tip: To manually refresh the page, click Refresh ().
  5. To show details for a specific AVL unit, click the unit of interest and review the information in the side menu pane.
    Tip: This menu is useful for identifying which cameras are not working on your vehicles.

To monitor vehicles and cameras from your fleet:

  1. To monitor a vehicle from your fleet, open an AVL unit in the Monitoring task:
    1. Click on the AVL unit of interest.
    2. Click Monitor ().
  2. To display a camera from your network, open a camera the Monitoring task:
    1. Click on the AVL unit containing the camera of interest.
    2. In the side pane, click the Cameras tab.
    3. Find the camera of interest and click Monitor ().
