To protect data while it is in transit, you can configure the SQL service to force the encryption of communication between databases and Genetec™ services.

1. From the Config Tool homepage, open the System task and click the Roles view.
2. From the entity browser, select the role of the database for which you want to encrypt the communication and click the Resources tab.
3. Set Encrypt connections to ON.
4. Click Apply.
   
5. Click Apply.
